Trust

" Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. " Proverbs 3:5-6 Trusting God is one of the foundational pillars of our faith but one that can be elusive oftentimes in our human fleshly hearts. The roads on this journey of life are hard and often rocky, seemingly uphill without rest. It is a temptation to say " I give up, God its too hard, its without end. You say you are with me but I am doubting now Lord, this burden is too heavy to bear." Just as David did in Psalm 34:4 when He says " I sought the Lord and He heard me. And delivered me from all my fears." And then in verse 6 " This poor man cried out and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles." Verse 8 states " oh, taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man who trusts in Him!" When we come to know Him and His character, how can we not trust Him? Just as a child who trusts in their parents because that child sees and feels their parents love and protection because the parents are there with them and love them so much that they will do anything for that child, how much more so our Heavenly Father loves us and protects us and delivers us constantly. When we taste and see that the Lord is good we can Trust in Him. Though the roads are still going to be rocky and still seemingly uphill, when we have complete trust in our God and Savior, He gives us the power and strength to continue through.
